Losing Fiat dealer in Sunderland

Just went into Reg Vardy in Sunderland to book my Panda in to get the boot catch fixed. Told they can't do it because they are closing for good on 31/01/07. Warranty work is going to their nearby Renault dealer, EEK!
So I now have the choice of dealers in Newcastle or Chester-le-Street. Anybody local who knows the best to go for?

Dito what T14086 said, a shame, and they're arent many decent independants above Manchester who specialise in FIATs. Apart from Fast FIAT at Stockton on Tees, about 45mins from Sunderland.

Yes taken over Pendragon if i'm correct?,who are ditching the less profitable makes so I heard.

Yup thats what i heard too. The problem is the more profitable ones for garages mean higher servicing, repair and purchasing costs for us!

So, Maz, who would you go to instead for warranty work and servicing. I know you may well recommend your dealership at Silverlink but needing to use the Tyne Tunnel to get there is a right pain.
