Re: Nationwide Crash Repair Centre - SWINDON - Rubbish!

Terrible service, repairs and paintwork. My vehicle was initially collected by a very scruffy tramp-like character who smelt of cigarettes and 'alcohol' who left an unsafe 'GoKart' type courtesy car with no paperwork. My poorly vehicle was then taken away on a smokey rusty old truck that looked like it should be scrapped! When I collected my vehicle from the Nationwide Crash Repair Centre in Swindon two weeks later, after having no update on how my vehicle was getting on (but they soon got in contact when they wanted paying!) I was sadly unhappy about the works that were carried out, I was then made to feel it was my fault by intimidating management and forced to sit in a small dirty reception area with very unhelpful, gossiping and terribly crude female receptionists. I was sent here initially by my insurance company (RBS) after having an accident. I ended up having to get the repairs repaired again at my own expense elsewhere as they 'refused' to help me. Thankfully my insurance company are helping me with further action towards this company.

Re: Nationwide Crash Repair Centre - SWINDON - Rubbish!

After reading some of the posts (and essays ) in this thread Im quite shocked!
In Feb this year I had a fairly big accident and ended up having to claim on my insurance ( Aviva ). I was told that the car would be collected from my house within a few days. The car was collected and a couple of hours later a courtesy car was dropped off (Vauxhall Corsa D 1.4 sxi) by a very nice bloke who stopped for cuppa while he waited for his lift back to the centre. My car was taken to Boston NCR and work was predicted to take about 2-3 weeks. Which I was fine with. Admittedly I had to contact them a couple of times just to check on the progress of my car. But on main things like telling me when it was going to be painted they were quite good at getting in contact.
After 2 weeks my car was done and in perfect condition (apart from a small muddy patch on my seat). There was and still is nothing wrong with my car.
All in all I was very satisfied with there service and would use them again if the situation was to arrise.

Sorry to hear some of the horror stories

Cheers
Tom

Original estimate was for 2 weeks - eventually took 7?!
I have to do all the calls / chasing - they never did what they said they would - finally got the car back after 5 weeks - Claim repairs were done but having been told for 3 days running that the car was 'just having its final quality checks', I picked up the car to find:
1.Electric Wing Mirrors Broken
2.Windscreen Washers Broken
3.Wing badge missing
4.Roof rail trim hanging off
5.Dummy C/C Sensor on dash broken
6.Drivers door trim completely loose with bolts still in pocket
7.Car filthy with overspray and rubbish not belonging to me in the car?!?

BE WARNED THIS COMPANY ARE TOTALLY **** - I ONLY WENT THERE AS INSTRUCTED BY MY INSURANCE BUT WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!
I worked there and you are totally correct in your assessment.
