To start the ball rolling, here is the first recommendation.

G.B. Ongaro, Carn Bosavern Garage.
St Just, Penzance, Cornwall.
Tel: 01736 788336.
Manager: Jonathan Ongaro.

Despite the fact that they are a fully fledged authorised Fiat and Alfa service agent, their attitudes are more like specialists as they are enthusiasts. The business is family run. They will pick the car up, leave you with a car (if you book a car), bring you car back and the standard of service is excellent. Been using them for nigh-on a decade.

I will find out for you. I'm taking my Seicento in on Wednesday so I will find out from Jonathan then and get back to you. As they're a relatively small garage, they're normally booked right up a lot of the time.

It'd be a long haul - it's not too far from Lands End! However, I have heard of people as far as London use this service agent, though! Whereabouts in Devon do you live?

regards,
Paul

Just to confirm Johnathon down in St Just also well known in Barchetta Club and very helpful

Can I also advise of a great body-shop down here in Launceston (Race Hill Bodyshop). Just done a first-class job cutting out rusty crud around headlights and front valance on the old 2300s for me. Welded in new metal, leaded to profiles and repainted. Labour rate is £15/hour.

Yeah, he's extremely helpful. Colin, sorry, I forgot to ask the labour charges. Seeing him again sometime in the next week so will ask him then. They use Selenia oil for main Fiat servicing but I'm sure if you requested they'd use something different, but for the Fiat service menu, Selenia semi-synthetic stuff is used.

Paul
