Hi I have bought a high mileage 500, 2009 1.2, I am considering swapping the engine and gearbox instead of a major service, Any recommendations in and the round the area London - Oxford - Harwich. I have used Autolusso in Houghton Regis before and was pleased with them. But this a Fiat and not an Alfa, so I thought it worth asking around.

234860 kilometers (146k miles). There are noises from the clutch and I bought it out of leasing.

If I were you, I'd just stick with the original engine and change the clutch. From what I understand, if they're looked after, those engines are capable of over 200k!

Hi,
I'd also do a few miles to see if it "burns" oil..,

if it's "oil-tight",
then get the cambelt /tensioner / water pump changed, ( simple job - same as ford Ka)

then the clutch noise investigated and fixed,

these are tough little units:worship:
