Hi, im new to the site, i work for Stoneacre Fiat In Lincoln.

Although we have only been Fiat for a few months we are starting to get the hang of things. We have a very very experianced Fiat technician who knows the vehicles inside out. Personally I work on the service desk and in parts, although only being in the motor trade for 8 months i am learning new things every day.

We are starting to do a lot more fiat as time goes on and look forward to more coming through the door.

From a Parts/Service point of view if any of you require any help you may contact me on msn at the followin address

[email protected]

I am more then willing to help in anything you need.
Please do not hesitate to ask.

I last went in to Stoneacre Peterborough 2 years ago. i find them very rude and unprofessional. The Service Manager didn't seem to care and was quite rude. I don't know where they find there staff from but I stood waiting to be acknowledged for 10 mins by the receptionist. I now go into Scunthorpe which is alittle better, I only use Lincoln in extreme emergencies! (n)

RIP Stoneacre and to all that have been their!! I don't know anyone who has a good word for this company.:bang:

Yes this is an old thread! - but I wish I'd looked at comments before going to Stoneacre in Lincoln.
Took my fiat 500 in due to central looking not working, they had the car 1 1/2 hours (1 hour sat in the car park - even though it was a booked appointment) at the end they presented the car back to me without the fault fixed and billed me for over £70, on challenging the bill they dropped it to £44 and told me the car would need to come back for more diagnostic checks (so another £70 + before they actually do any work) - not happy with this I searched this forum and found the problem to be a fuse had blown, I'd already checked all the fuses in the box under the bonnet but through this forum found that there's another fusebox tucked away at the back of the parcel tray.
Why on Earth the ‘highly’ trained technicians can’t do a simple check for a blown fuse before using the usual excuse to bump the bill up by claiming “it’s got to go on the diagnostics”
Every time you go to a garage and hear this it’s not a case of them wanting to find and cure your problem and send you away happy, it’s just an excuse to cane your wallet, a diagnostics is just a laptop that takes 30seconds to plug in and 30 seconds to read the fault codes, imagine if you went to the garage for a new water pump fitting and they said “we’ll have to charge you to get the spanners out before we do any work”. To add insult to injury, all the time they had the car and couldn’t fix it I was quizzed by the salesman trying to sell me another fiat 500, fair play to him just doing his job, but do they ever think to ask themselves if you’d buy a car from a garage that can’t fix the one you’ve got – those fuses are dammed tricky…….Anyhow rant over – I’ll stick to this forum for fault finding in future.(n)
