Hi, apologies for not coming on here and posting anything useful in the 2 years I've been a member but after a recent good experience with a local independent garage I feel the guy deserves some recognition.

I needed my injector seals changing after 1 of them had been leaking for nearly a year. Took it to my local garage who had a go but found the injectors too tough to remove and didn't want to risk breaking anything so I called around to get a couple of quotes elsewhere. Guest Fiat in Willenhall wanted £220 to change all 4 seals (+ high pressure fuel pipe) and Arbury Fiat in Aldridge wanted £110. My last call was to R & R Autos in Bilston which was £118 but I had a google of the place and found a few posts on Alfa forums which suggested Richard (at R&R) was a good guy to go to, and based on past experience I expected that Fiat would "find" some other problems and double my price by the end of the work; so with that I booked it in with R&R.

The poor bloke ended up keeping the car for 3 days because the worst injector was so welded on it actually broke his tool, so he had to order a replacement and have another go after leaving the injectors soaking in thinners. He eventually got it off and replaced the seals, no extra costs despite the labour, and kept in contact with me to let me know what was going on at each stage and was basically a pleasure to talk to.

Long story short; he's a nice chap who knows his stuff with Italian cars and does not try to rip you off. He started the business 4 years ago and is trying to build reputation and I am happy to help with that after my experience.
