Evening everyone,

We've had our new car for a week now, been very happy with it and the various timescales involved. We picked it up pretty much 3 months from the day we ordered; it made a top Xmas present!:D

Anyway, we ordered our car from Griffin Mill who I must say were excellent to deal with. We actually live in Cardiff but were totally put off by Wessex who showed very little desire to have our business. They couldn't put a PCP quote together and when they did it was not with the deposit we asked for!(n)

Anyway, Griffin Mill were very professional and kept us fully updated during the order. If you are in the Cardiff area I would highly recommend that you take a trip up the A470!

Cheers

Not from the area, but I've heard lots of good feedback about this one. Apparently it's new, too, which often helps - being new, they want good reputation, and they're not going to get that from behaving like the dosy dealers!

Thanks for that - I know the garage itself has been there a long time, but I guess you are referring to the Fiat franchise as being new. I don't know about that but will take your word for it!

They were very good though, we were a nailed on sale as we knew exactly what we wanted (just the 500 1.2 Pop with A/C). So the guy there just listened to what we wanted, sorted out the PCP quote and that was that. Very simple really!

Actually it goes to show really how poor Wessex did. We were ready to buy and weren't too fussed about the timescales either; after some chasing it took them over a week to come up with a quote which was wrong, so we left it at that. Never heard back from them either asking why we hadn't been in touch, I can only assume they lost my number, haha!:)

I cant comment on griffin mill but there have been some posts on this section that dont give them good rep.and as far as Wessex are concerned then I agree with you ..the one guy we saw when the wife was looking at a demonstration 09 sedici really couldn't be arsed and his attitude stank INHO ..if your looking at this post Wessex he is quite tallish and a lanky gormless git with specs..guess you know the one I mean by the description ..god did he love himself.. he was more concerned trying to impress us by telling us he drove a group 16 car than making the sale..(n)

Now the wife has bought my 08 panda with 1000 on the clock so all's well that ends well..LMAO..:D

Hi,

I picked up my car from Griffin Mill about 2 weeks ago and I must say they are generally exellent. I say generally because I had to get things started with the phone calls of what stage the build was at but after that they then called when they said they would. They're very helpful and have a good knowledge base. The Wessex garage in Cardiff is much closer to me but their attitude and knowledge was a joke. They didn't have a clue and made me feel that I'd arrived at an unconvenient moment, really. I travelled the extra milage to Griffin Mill and it was well worth it. I just hope they're just as good when the 1st service is due.

I've bought both my 500 1.2 lounge last July and my wifes Bravo Tjet 150 sport from Griffin Mill last week and I highly recomend them, the Bravo purchase didnt go completely to plan but they kept me informed and other than my own impatience they were great. I've told them to keep my number if they get a demo 500c later this year :)
