Stoneacre Worksop

I have found that it is the attitude of the customer that normally swings jobs at dealers that are of a questionable nature, ie brakes, clutch, etc. "Sorry thats not covered" is not the answer that you want to hear, but in fact may be the only answer available to the assistant at that time, i have no problems with any of the sales/ service team at Stoneacre Worksop, and have dealt with them on a few questionable warranty issues, i would recommend and buy from them again just not another Fiat, although my Panda Sporting is now 9mths old and covered 28700m and going strong i would buy mainstream european motor Alan.( i do not work there or have any conection other than a satisfied customer)

You should read the other thread. You'll see what we mean.

It's good that your a satisfied customer. We all secretly knew there must be some out there willing to admit it. :p
Although you do realise Fiats are mainstream european motors. :)

Our old mate Bob, customer service mananger of the decade 1950-1960. Still got your job then? :)

I thought we'd established that 'the other thread' was Bob having a pissed Saturday night rant, he's come back on here trying to help people and reinstate faith in his reputaton and dealership, should he not be given a chance to do that ???

Try driving 100 miles buzzing and then 100 miles back seriously angry because you have just been told the car you asked to save has been sold.... Stoneacre Worksop sigh............

EvilJaxx - Did you put a deposit down over the phone to secure the car before leaving?

Reading through the initial post it's a difficult situation. The car was second hand, 6 weeks out and without warranty, which I have no doubt would have been offered to you at an additional cost upon purchase to cover these eventualities. Calipers are moving parts, in dirty exposed areas and can get seized, the car was fit for purpose at time of sale and 6 weeks later Stoneacre cannot be expected to know and predict this. I think Stoneacre probably should have offered to help out maybe 50:50 out of goodwill mostly because hopefully you'd have come on here and said what a great job they'd done, you'd have told your friends what a great job they'd done, you'd have taken your car back for repair there in the future, you'd have it serviced there and maybe bought your next car there etc. On the otherhand looking at the facts they are under no obligation to fix the fault free of charge that's what a warranty is about and they're a business with overheads to meet and profit to make.

Stoneacre Fiat Parts in Jason, Bob's apprentice and all round nice guy. He is as yet too young and unworldly to be tainted with Bob's cynicism. Here's Jason:
