Introduction
Just picked up a Punto I was given for Free, 1996 5 door 55SX with 85,000 on the clock - only requires a few bits for the NCT (Irish equivalent for the MOT).
Got it off an uncle who bought it for my cousin, whom then decided she didn't want to drive! When he heard I didn't have a car anymore he asked me did I want it.
Pretty mint body wise, needs a good scrub and a polish and wax wouldn't go amiss. Has a chip/dent on bonnet and door needs a scratch buffed out. Interior is A1, just mechanically it needs some work - new Rocker Cover Gasket, new front pads, and a service.
Wouldn't start first go though, brand new battery wouldn't turn her, jump box wouldn't turn her. Needed a royal kick up the arse from a Transit battery to turn it - hasn't been moved in two years, but all was normal then, starts and stops properly now!
Nothing extravagant planned, just a run about for a couple months. May treat her to some Sporting alloys and CC bumpers - although the Black bumpers do look very retro :slayer:
I have to remove the Halfords 'GX' badge, looks rediculous!
