Introduction
Hi All, been a good minute...
After 4 Multiplas, and multiple non-multiplas in between Fab Davies kindly sold me this black flat chested Eleganza a week ago:
The collection was quite lengthy, drive from Suffolk to Basildon (work), do a couple of hours, walk 40 mins to train station, train to Fenchurch, tube to Paddington, Train to Newton Abbot. Fab kindly met me at the station and once paperwork sorted I was on the road at 6pm headed 270miles back to Suffolk. No dramas!
So far I've covered another 600 miles or so (50mpg measured) and it's very good on suspension, brakes, gearbox, clutch and so on.
There's a couple of things I need to take a look at, on start up it beeps ENGINE CNTR FAULT... CONTACT GARAGE or something alarmist. Anyway plugged in my Bluetooth OBD2 and it's saying something like low voltage Exhaust Temp sensor 1 & 2. Little bit worrying as this is late enough to have DPF so suspect it's not doing Regens, anyway, rather than take a closer look I did the only sensible thing: what's everyone's opinion on Alfa Mito wheels? They appear to bolt straight on with the same thread engagement on the original bolts. I think I'll investigate some spacers on the rear and one day it needs dropping 30mm. Wheels need a paint, could go silver but wondering if Gold might turn a few more heads/stomachs?
