Bravo (Classic) BravoBeastie

After having this car for over a year now, ive just realised she has never had a proper Members Motors thread... so im going to give a run down with links to other threads with what has happened since i became the new owner of this well known, and well loved car.

this is going to be the main thread for updates on work being done, because ive finally got off my arse and decided to do something about the state of the car.

so...

on the 1st of December 2007 i traveled to stoke to take ownership of BravoBeastie... with a gone headgasket she was towed home by the AA.. and the work would start!

3 days later... https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo-brava/127285-bravobeastie-latest-problem.html one of her drive shafts came out. 2 weeks later over the xmas period and she was fixed... new drive shaft and new engine mounts and she was back to normal.

but with bravobeastie... nothing ever goes smoothly! a self tapping screw while fitting the HIDS made its way into the cam pully and made the belt slip.. off to the garage she went for more valves

but once again... nothing ever goes smoothly!

when i got her back she didnt feel well... she had no power up to 3k and then she was fine.. few compression tests later...

new engine time for the bravo!

ran her for a while before i sourced a new engine, and over a day me and 2 male friends got her up and running again!

everything was fine for a while... she got new wheels.. and i purchased HGT leather, so i got that fitted and decided to give the interior a retrim.

eventually the back seats went back in... and disaster struck.



driving down a bypass, the bonnet flips up and smashes the windscreen and sunroof, totals the bonnet and dents the buggery out of my roof

a few days later, in the pouring rain the windscreen gets replaced



and shortly after that a new sunroof



because of all this... my headlining and trimmed bits have never made it back into the car.. but im working on it!

i bought a new bonnet... that was the wrong colour! so i ratted it :devil:



currently it says 'show and shine' and its got a lovely spattering of rust

my wheel falls off get that all fixed and sorted... and i decide i fancy a change. dont have any photos of the wheels atm... cos i havent been bothered to photograph the car in sooooo long... but i bought some Alfa Teledials

and that pretty much covers it!!

right now im working on the damaged bonnet to see if i can get it to look at least slightly respectable untill i have enough money to get a new one and get it sorted properly...

then i aim to sort the roof, and refit all the trimmed bits. idealy she needs a full respray.. shes got pretty tatty over the years.. but then she is 9yrs old now

so..... if you've got this far.. you clearly have no life.
