Introduction
This’ll be a veeery long term project since I need to clear a couple bike restorations off my plate, but next up on my list is a 1958/59 Fiat US spec 500 Nuovo. Found this in a shed in Florida around the corner from where I was living at the time and picked it up for pennies. Parked it in my garage, sprayed some rust converter on it and 2 years later moved to the Austin area and dragged it with me. It is extremely rough, no floor pans, but it’s complete except for the valve cover and seats. Original 17hp engine sitting in a crate waiting to be torn down. I hope to put it up on a lift next year and start work.
edit: As noted this is the US spec version with the bugeye headlights and larger bumpers, all of which are present.
