How can it be why I was watching a US region BluRay DVD (Blackhawk Down) on my pal PS3?

seems to be an issue with some HD displays not reporting back to the PS3 over HDMI quickly enough,creating a flashing picture.
dependant on the tv and whether you can update the firmware it may not be fixable

I saw a PS3 for sale in my local MORRISONS!!! lol I couldn't believe it!!
I won't be getting one for a while. I'm waiting until Sony give me a reason to want to buy it and not expect me to. My 360 does the job for me, I've had absolutely no problems with it at all, love it!

Not usually to be relied on as gospel but I've read about region coding elsewhere on BR discs so must be true

yes, the cell can very rarely (never) use its spe's so the floating point figure gives a very optimisitic view of real performace. plus i have twice the cache and a higher base clock speed, and both my cores actually work at the same time. the 360 beats me tho, and has double the cache (4x more than ps3)

the cell's spe array isnt a good idea, well not yet anyway, once it can be used it will be great, but thats a long way off yet.
