Just Wondered on peoples tastes on games were. Do you have an all time fave game or series? Forget the age of the game if it's a classic it's a classic!

It has to be the ratchet and clank series for me followed by the grand theft auto series
Fave Series: ODDWORLD!
1. Abe's Oddysee
2. Abe's Exoddus
3. Munch's Oddysee
But I didn't like the 4th in the series - Strangers Wrath. Both Abe and Munch were missing and it lost all the cuteness and 'Odd' humour of the first three games
Fave Individual Game? So many to choose from, but I guess it has to be William's Defender for the impact it had on the gaming world in 1980, followed by Sega's Space Harrier in 1986 for the same reason.
By the way, I just re-bought Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus for the PC (the original versions I played on a friend's Play Station and XBox). And I have both the arcade versions of Defender and Space Harrier running on my PC with MAME

It is, and will ALWAYS be, the Half-Life series.

My fave stand alone game and for some reason one of the few games I played solidly through to the end was F-zero gx. I was addicted.
Series would be Metroid Prime.
Thinking of the pc though it would be close between Battlezone 2 and Half-Life 1.
Still need to get Half-Life2.......

Hmm... at the moment id have to say Flatout 2 - had it ages but got bored... im back into it now tho
Other than that, many FPSs + the Need For Speed series (underground onwards ofcourse ) I was a pr0 at SWAT4... was in a clan - we never lost a single match

Too many to list for me, but generally the best ones are those that don't overdo it, quality over quantity any day.
Most Mario games
I loved the original Bomberman games before they went 3D
Halo series
I love the WWll FPS genre and games that have stood out are the original Medal of Honour, Call of Duty 2.
A mention has to go to the Doom and Quake games, without which there would be a lot less choice of FPS's in the world. Id Software :worship:

Gotta be the final fantasy series and the Gran Turismo series for me, love both sets of games!
RTCW and Far Cry more full on FPS than HL which bored me plus all the exploring and I hate these FPS tatic type games where you have to look after a team of incompetent arseholes!
Old school games would be SF2 any variant really, Sonic, F-Zero, Mario Kart, Duck Hunt, Golden Axe, Doom (first played via DOS on a 33Mhz 486!) C&C is good, Gran Turismo also plus Simpsons Hit and Run too many tolist really but I might remember more tomorrow.

Wow. You're the first person I've come across who didn't like Stranger's Wrath. Though not many bought it... Still, I'm quite amazed as everyone I've talked to who has played it absolutely loved it to bits. Myself included.
My favourite game series is probably Gran Turismo. Ever since playing it on the PlayStation I was hooked. GT2 was sheer delight, 3 was a visual feast and 4 was the bringing together of each previous title's excellence with more or less no bad stuff.
I also love my Oddworld yet Stranger's Wrath is my favourite. Munch's Oddysee didn't fulfil me with as much warmth as the others...
Also can't get enough of GTA, PGR2, Shenmue... I could go on all day.
My flatmate also bought a Sega Saturn today because he saw Guardian Heroes for sale and wanted to play it.

Need for Speed Series: Undergound most fav our of the Lot, have not played Carbon yet.

Awesome! I didn't know it was being remade until you mentioned it. According to http://au.gamespot.com/pc/action/dukenukemforever/news.html it appears this has been pushed back for some years now! Its a bit hard to say if it would be as good as the original but it definitely would not feel the same when it first came out
