hmm not happy about this

Microsoft has admitted there's a problem with Halo 3's Limited Edition packaging scratching game discs, and is now offering replacements via the Xbox website.

The problem is blamed on the plastic and foam nub in the LE tin designed to hold the discs; it turns out plenty of gamers - including CVG - are opening their copies of Halo to find the discs loose and scratched.

given ive mail orded mine and ive no extra cash to buy retail it makes the chances of a halo 3'less weekend possible

Got it after I finished my shift on the midnight launch about halfway through the game now, it looks very good in HD, having had a bit more time to get used to it again its better than I originally thought, you HAVE to play it in heroic other wise the Artificial in intelligence is toned down to the point the game becomes dull, but on heroic they react to your attacks, try and flank you, hide when their shields are down, no suicidal charging for them, weapons are good..and the quad bikes are a lot of fun with a rocket launcher wielding mate on the back in multiplayer. Its old school but very well executed

My discs were both loose and slightly scratched, bloody dick heads, I'm not sending them back though, I'll wait till I have completed it a couple of times before I part with it.

im a bit dissapointed to be honest. . . they still haven't sorted out the matchmaking. . . why not use a system like in rainbow six vegas where you can choose which match you want to go in arena etc?

Im on the second mission. . . wishing i hadn't chose legendary coz im stuck lol shudda gone for heroic first i reckon

That's a pain Custard, you have my luck, everything I order off the net has some kind of issue and has to go back Take it into the shop and make them replace the case.

may just buy another from virgin who have the LE for £40 and return this one for a refund.
dont want to be haloless for the time it takes to return

as an aside its a nice package.didnt realise it was such a difference from the LE halo 2

My tin was dented also, but my discs were unscratched.

The magnet in my DVD drive may need gluing though, makes a horrible noise

anyone else noted patchy checkpoint detection?
had a few bits ive had to do a few times then it suddely registers a checkpoint it didnt before!
