Hmm, ok - not really looked into this much, only started adding a few extra maps recently.

Will look a bit more into it.

EDIT - do you amend the path in the LST file?

Right, I have now purchased a proper gaming server from Gameservers.com :D

A 20 slot PUBLIC one, together with a 20 slot TS server. The IP for the server is in my signature, no password at the moment, so feel free to join - I will give out TS details via MSN/PMs, ok.

It is currently running the Deathmatch plugin - non-stop action ;)

And where has Joe gone?

He had issues with Steam initially, but that was done to old nVidia GFX card issues. Now he is saying something about an iexplore.exe process which is causing issues :chin:

Ok, who wants to be Server Admin?

This is the server stats : http://hlstatsx.servegame.com:8080/shared-stats/hlstats/hlstats.php?game=css7

A Counterstrike: Source server, hosted in a London datacentre, 66 tick, 20 slots, currently running Mani Mod 1.2r, MetaMod 1.4.1, Mattie's Eventscripts 1.3.0 and bailopans Deathmatch Plugin 0.97, together with a full STATs module as above.

Server is pretty active throughout the day, has been peaking at a full 20 slots recently, with no BOTs.

Obviously this needs to be funded - BUT the other admin is now bored due to his own reasons, yet I am loathe to pull the plug on it, hence the request. I intend to approach a few regulars on it as well [530 odd players in the last week].

Cheers guys (y)

3 on it already, at this time - 2 Germans and a yank. Give it a few hours, and then most of Europe will be on it :slayer: EDIT - above stats down, actually got 10 on there right now.

I have made Pete an admin [for now ;)] plus Betty can do the nightshift :D

Ok, a few more updates for you all.

Firstly, the guys who gives me free STATS wants to move me back over to dedicated, and not shared - he says there are some flaws with shared-stats - so hopefully that will mean less downtime on them.

Secondly, I put a support ticket into the server provider last night, due to a few lag issues some of you were getting. I got a very good reply this morning:

Stuart,

Two things. The kernel can be updated on the server , and I would like to do that, please notify me when a good time will be to do the upgrade. There will be about 30 to 40 mins of downtime max . This will improve ram and cpu usage, as well as has some tweaks in the kernel for steam games.

Cpu(s): 1.1%us, 0.0%sy, 0.0%ni, 98.8%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.1%si, 0.0%st
Mem: 4037988k total, 3995664k used, 42324k free, 224816k buffers
Swap: 4088532k total, 156k used, 4088376k free, 2389208k cached

As you can see your server is performing pretty optimal already. I will suggest to change your rate settings to the following:

sv_minrate 1000
sv_maxrate 50000

The settings prior were too close together and not broad enough for a large number of clients. The server was forcing itself to try and accomodate only a few clients rather than all. Please fix these settings and restart your server.

Also notify me as to when I can update the kernel on your server.

Thanks

I have just updated the rates within server.cfg, so hopefully the kernel will be done ASAP - and get rid of that LAG :slayer:

Any more for any more ? :D

Ok, been looking at the stats recently - server is getting pretty busy now, so would like to push out more slots.

NOW, I note some servers allow you to pay for RESERVED slots? Is this feasible? If so, at what price? Obviously, the more popular the server becomes, the more people want to join it, the better it becomes.

Any feedback appreciated (y)

Oh, server stats here:
