Pretty much whatever you want - combat, trading, mining, manufacturing, piracy, I've been playing it 3 weeks and barely scratched the surface!

just waiting for the f*** repair skill now, I forgot to start it while doing the mission.
is it expensive for the full game then?

Not really, £15 to buy it and then about £8 a month, but you can actually buy game time with in game currency too, so if you're good at making cash you can essentially play for free Edit2: Also, vice-versa, you can buy the in-game time cards (PLEX) for real cash and sell them for in-game currency if that's your bag

Yeah, there's a lot to take in, I've been playing 3 weeks and there are still things which I find a bit hard to grasp - like scanning for anomalies! I'll be on tonight, as I've been on all day ... and will probably be on for the next couple of weeks while I'm on holiday

looks okay! how many people are online usually?
you know what amazes me about games like eve, and games made by smaller companies, is the support you get. eg. afterhalf an hour yesterday, a guy popped up asking about my experience so far and I had a chat with him for a bit...that would never happen with EA etc.

you beast how can you afford to do that much?
i find gameplay so slow at the min because i can never find things in the overview!
e.g. spent 15 mins yesterday trying to find the target asteroid to mine

Trust me mate, 1million is nothing in this game After giving you and RussJTD 1mil each I've got 5.5mil left and I feel like I'm skint, one of my mates from Scotland has been playing this games since 2004 and makes around 150mil every day! Just don't go buying a ship with that money as you'll get given loads of them during the first few missions
As for finding 'roids, once you're at the destination switch the overview to 'All' and the 'roids should be at the top as they'll be the closest objects

Definitely possible, I'm in a system called Wirashoda, have you pressed F10 and seen how big the map is btw? About 5000 systems IIRC

I think you both went Gallente, and that'd be the University of Caille. Russ started at the same place as me (I went Gallente as well).
