Has anybody been playing this mod?
Ive been playing it since start of May when it was only a handful of servers running it.
Now its become a beast of a mod, with some regarding it as the best ever mod for any PC game, even better than most standalone games.
Yes, it does look a little dated considering ARMA2 came out in 2010, with Opeartion Arrowhead coming out 2011.
ARMA2 is a Military Simulator rather than a game, everything from AI to gunshot wounds are simulated to be as close to real life as possible.
Dayz builds on this great sim, adding a total different aspect to it.
You start off on a beach of Chernarus, a 225sqKM map, all thats in your inventory is a Flashlight, a bandage and a backpack.
Your only goal is to survive. Loot for weapons and ammo, food and water, while trying to avoid the zombies or other player who may be friend or foe.
Trust nobody. Dont get comfortable in 1 place for too long. Dont get attached to your gear.
