i was never really one for those pay to play games.. you BUY the game... and then have to pay to play it??!! ha yeah right!
i could of got into quite a few games like that but i just dont play them if you have to pay.
ive been playing x3 albion prelude offline a bit.. damn thats a huge game. i guess its a bit like eve online. i dont know if its a pay to play game though.. like i said ive not even looked at the online side of it yet.

I kinda get where you're coming from Dragon Man, but the thing with EVE is that there is new content being released all the time and the support is second to none, the game itself costs 1/3 of the price of any 360/PS3 title which will last you a couple of weeks if you're lucky. Like you I used to shun the idea of paying to play, but I'd rather keep paying for one game that just keeps getting better and better, than pay the same amount of money for lots of games 1/2 of which turn out to be utter crap.

I mean look at COD.
About 60000 games in the space of 2 years, each costing ~£40.
AND, the worst thing is, most of the changes could have been made without the need for a new game. most of the changes still used the same engine and could have been added by a 5GB patch or something. Utter b0ll0cks

Rather than create a new thread...does anyone know of any good games out atm?
all of the good ones seem to be coming out in november time.
had a look at ghost recon, counter strike etc but nothing seems to be appealing. Sleeping dogs looks ok but not sure.
Any ideas? btw, i really dont have time for MMO anymore so not an option

The Suffering.. good game want to play the 2nd one
"Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth" good game..
Sniper Elite (1 and 2) good games.
Quake 4 (a bit like Prey.. thats a good game too)
dont forget all the Stalker games, they are good too

13 hours of gaming time doesn't sound great though
can't wait for far cry etc but few months yet

TF2 have just release MANN vs Machine game mode which is coooool :slayer:
