I'm thinking of getting a footy game for my ps3, do i go for PES 09 or FIFA 09, i've not bought a footy game for some time.

I wouldve said PES without a doubt a year or two ago, but i think theyve lost their way a bit, and the online experience has been very poor in last 2 years, it still beats FIFA in my opinion in terms of singular player expereience however I would say FIFA depsite owning PES games only for a number of years, mainly die to the rubbish online experience and thats what i prefer

Without the online gaming experience would PES be better than FIFA.
i would say so yes
The other thing PES lacks is the lack of liscensed teams, FIFA just about monopoloizes it, its a small annoyance but I can and have lived with it

Personally I would say FIFA but I have not played PES since PES05 and that is what put me off it a bit after I bought FIFA
I loved pes up until pes5, its nowhere near the game it used to be.
Fifa is a better all round package these days, HOWEVER, if you enjoy customisation of teams, players, kits etc, pes is still the better option, but for a straight out the box play, the newer fifas (especially 09) are the ones to go for.
