Alright folks, got a wii at xmas but havent really had time to have a good mess with it.

Got it set up with my wifi - had a play with the weather and the news bit but I was reading you can get iplayer on it - tell me how or am i just being thick :idea:

Not owning a Wii I can't be 100% sure, but would it not just be a case of going to www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer the same as if you were doing it on your PC?

how much is 500 points and where do you get them from

and while Im at it how do I get pics in my signature tried to show my dismal cable speed but it wont have it - or more like I dont n know what Im doing

buy wii points with your card on the wii itself or game/film shops sell them... about £15 for 2000points

As far as your speedtest goes, you'll need to save the file and probably convert it to .jpg before you can use it as a sig pic. Ask Stu, he's got one as his sigpic

You can get Wii stars for owning certain games (mostly stuff Nintendo make) and devices like the Wii etc which can be traded for points which can then be used to buy the programs. What a pain in the arse that is!

You should have got a scratch-card like leaflet in the packaging (like the games), with the number behind it. If not, email nintendo with your account details and they will add the points on for you.

Have read this thread with interest ... didn't know you could get iplayer on the Wii. I have some stars too cus I found all the old games for my DS and loaded the points on but what a pain getting the stars eh .... having to try to get in early every day to get them! I'm now going to download the internet channel for the Wii. Thanks guys.
