we bought gf's boy a 360 for xmas.was wondering how do we go about downloadin games onto the harddrive?
Also,in order to play against others online,how do ya do that? is it just the case of huckin upto the net? or do you need a 'live subscription' card thing?

Yer soz bout that,didnt realise

As long as you have an xbox live compatible router/modem it should be plug and play, if you plug it in and it doesn't work let us know we might be able to help you out with some settings. The xbox won't auto-detect most non-certified routers.

To download games/demos/films/updates you just have to connect to live with a silver account which is free.
As said above you need gold to play games (You get a 30day trial with all new xbox's)

EDIT: Some content you have to pay for, to do this you need an MS points card, I rarely get them as there's not all that much that you'd want to pay for. The demos and most game videos are free.

Well you know you pay twice the price for it......then buy the headset....then pay for a sepearate HD capable because sony is too tight to supply one....then get kicked out of games repeatedly because the online blows...so you pay your money and you take your choice....and if it happens to have no decent exclusive titles, and take forever to load then you bought a PS3..

I got a 3 meter HD lead with the console £10 for a blue tooth headset from carphone warehouse i pay twice the price because its twice as good getting kicked out of games dont happen if you got decent broadband an it dont take forever to load either i had a xbox for 6 months broke 4 times tut american pile of pooo

Just you wait for the PS3 yellow light of death, or the more common one for it to just decide to no longer read discs. Tbf it'll have broke down long before GT5 ever arrives. They've redesigned xbox 360s after they put the HDMIs on so they are as reliable as PS3s although thats like saying Peugeot now as reliable as Renault. Also new dash update allows you to install games to the HD, it already loaded faster than a PS3 (even though PS3 installed games) so now load times are about half those on PS3 for same game if you have it installed also it doesn't run disc on installed games so is quieter and runs cooler.

At the end of the day, if I really wanted a PS3, I would just go out and buy one - BUT I don't. It isn't as if I have money issues after all
