Well without a hard drive, component cable, wireless pad or headset its just a 360 with a bit of shiny stuff on the disc drawer, all the machines of the same vintage are identical technically (yes there have been improvements in the production run). At work if we get a trade in of a 360 premium without a hard drive, its sold as a core and the trade in and selling prices reflect this. It's the same principle as sticking an abarth badge on a 1.2 Gp...yes it has the badge but its not an Abarth without the equipment to back it up. I'm not saying they sent you a core because it had no HD when it was returned I'm saying that the silver strip is of no relevance after initial new sale it is the actual spec of the unit.

if you've bought a premium, you have the premium hard drive, you dont send that off nor the cables.

they send you a premium back and you put all your stuff back on it, they arent going to send you an extra hard drive are they? and they arent going to ask for the HD or leads if they dont need them

they sent me an identical xbox back without a hard drive because i kept mine before sending it off, its just like sending your phone to get fixed and keeping the memory card.

I'd thought you didn't have a hard drive as you were looking for one...yeah I get it just thought you'd sent back a core and they'd sent back a machine with a silver disc drawer.

i dont have a HD, didnt get one with my premium, i didnt realise it was a premium till they told me to try a quick fix by taking the hard drive off, after speaking to my mate he said he told it on ebay seperately.

got a brand new 20gig on for £23 delivered, so im happy with that

well, i must say, im so disapointed with xbox live.

PGR 3 is shockingly bad, the driving is anyway graphics aren't too great either, i like the nav system though for joining games etc.

GTA 4 is crap, wont connect to some games, like free mode, doesnt seem many on either.

mate lent me the new NFS too and thats hard to use and boring after 5 minuites, so bloody confusing, all i can find is where you're a copper, other teams gets money and drives it somewhere, then you catch it off them or something, i'd be so gutted if i'd bought it lol.

PGR3 is a launch title from 2005 and is 3 years old

You've missed the boat with GTA IV when it was new it was epic online but should see a resurgence when the new content becomes available. Also I was playing free mode with some mates on saturday so you have a problem somewhere.

And the new NFS is utter balls. One of the worst games of recent times we keep getting them back cos they make peoples consoles hang.

I wish they would fix the GTA4 engine on the PC (much better online capability) its f***ed!.

I just got my mates broken ( 3 lights of death) xbox from him for £20 and i've just recieved the packaging label from microsoft, when ups pick it up does anyone know how long it takes to get fixed?
