The difference with the forum would be you can go on and off whenever you like, would it really stop you from doing something? whereas with the game its like you cant get off it and you have to be playing and progressing forward thriugh the levels all the time.

Im in trouble anyway cause bf has seen thread and isnt impressed with me 'be-littling him'. He since hasnt spoken to me and has been ignoring me with in a right mood all day. He has un-installed and cancelled his account....... trouble ahead.

Re: WOW -World Of Warcraft...anyone else??

my brother plays it. I have never, and never will.

and whiterose i can completely sympathise with you. its a life-sucking addiction. the worst of WOW is that you have to interact with other people and work with them to acheive goals, and because of the enormousity of the game and the quests, it actually replaces people's real lives - you dont miss talking to people IRL because you do it in-game, i think.

Same with a few other games like that, such as second life, runescape, etc

Having said that, i do enjoy playing PC games, just that there should be a balance between them and normal life

It's either gonna spell some serious withdrawal symptoms, or he could take it like I did and feel completely liberated and actually appreciate your interference in due course.

And if he doesn't, well, by the looks of the above posts of there's plenty of other guys to choose from

http://www.wowdetox.com/

I've never had an interest in it, a mate tried to get me to play it, however it made my laptop go really slow, so I uninstalled it, and couldn't get to play lol.

If your looking for a new bf...I'm single, I can cook (Do you like Spaghetti Carbonara?), I can clean (Please dont do a search for my cleaning of my room thread xD), I'm great with kids (if they are quiet, and dont need feeding (unless they are old enough to feed themselfs), nappy changing, thats a no no at the moment xD.

Re: WOW -World Of Warcraft...anyone else??

Its a relationship killer tbh. I had first hand experience of one going sour on me. Met this german girl through another online game lol. Got really chatty on msn () decided to meet up. So she came to england to meet me. Stayed at mine for 2 weeks (good times ) We hit it off really really well. Tried to chat online as much as we could and see each other once a month. Then she going really deep into WoW. Started chatting less and less online, as she got more and more into the game. Even said I was spamming her with emails all the time. She logged into msn, I tried to say hello, she said she didnt have time to chat, doing such and such dungeon. Relationship fizzled out after about 4 months. Moved on and met a far better girl

Im keeping it for future reference incase he decides to re-install the game and play it ''an hour'' a day.
