it out now? my comp wont run it i bet, stupid laptop

er it is alright. Not sure what Doom 3 would want my laptop to be mind you.
Laptop is Intel 3.66ghz HT processor. 128mb Nvidia graphics, 1.024gb 333 RAM.
AND A BATTERY THAT DIES AFTER ABOUT 5 minutes if not plugged into the mains!!!

Surely your wanting a better graphics card for a game of such calibre.
It's also better with great speakers I bet you cos I remember playing Doom at secondary school in 1994 and they didn't have speakers but when we got a version for home it was ace! Guns blasting, splattering noises and screams!
Will be a good game no doubt, I'm just wondering if i could procure a copy like cracker did ;-)

haha. I only ever did crap myself when i was younger palying the first ever res evil on ps1. It was bout 3 in the morning, during winter, raining hard, in my computer room/office which is at the back downstairs of the housein an extension, so all alone. mwah hah hah hah.

My PC makes the minimum requirements, but I think I'm gonna wait for the XBox version.
When I installed that leaked alpha / beta it was so damn slow on my, almost unplayable, but thats what you get from dodgy leaks

Its all about the graphics card?.. What does it have? if its a 9700pro mobile it isnt going to work too well. a 2000mhz P4 Desktop with a Ati Radeon 9800XT would wipe the floor with it in games. Why did you buy a laptop that powerfull if its not portable anymore ? . And cracker how do you define plays well? Im currently using a ti4200 Piece of s**t because my Ati beast died a nasty burning PCB death.

yeah your right chris, the damn thing aint portable no more. But it is still fast and saves a hell of a lot of space.
I also can rig it up to the car to watch dvds inside with my sound system.
IDEA. go out into woods, dark with no lights around. Hook laptop up to sounds system. Play doom 3. hmm....think I might do that after I get a copy.

I've got a Ti4200 too. At first I played it on minimal visuals because that's what the default settings were. Even then the graphics were better than most other games. Then I wacked all the visuals to highest just to see what would happen and it was still playable. I could do with about an extra 512MB of RAM though
Maybe even a new gfx card. But it was definately playable with my specs.
