with sad passing away of richard burns and the untimely death of colin McRae i struggle to see any future in rally videogame, at its peak in 2001 there seams to be no future now. cmr dirt was a very good game but never felt a pure rallying game (no full season) the company that made the WRC games also looks set to not to be making anymore games (theywent into administration a few weeks ago) and sega rally is fun but not a rallying game. with the new breed of consoles and my computer running ever faster you would have thought this would be the best time ever to release a pure rallying game. what do u think will happen next, what should i do to rally the games industry back into producing rally games once more

the rally stages on GT games is crap tho!

I do hope the CMR series continues, it was great, cant see it happening tho.

but one thing, with the official WRC licence availible, maybe Codemasters could start making official licenced WRC games

CMR dirt (A) has a full season mode unlocked once you do all the rallies in career, and is (B) published by codemasters, they have a game engine for it, it might not be called CMR next time round but they'll continue they would have at one point continued the toca series of games without the toca name but for a last minute deal (the game despite being named after the btcc organisers featured no Btcc), they'll probably merge the two actually as they use the same game engine usually and toca had rally bits last time i played it (although there is no next gen toca yet)
