to be honest blue ray is a better system from what i understand with plenty of capabilitie for the future due to it's greater capacity. (though at the expence of early players from the sounds of things...(hopes ps3 isn't included))
but it's still too expensive if they could make it a reasonable price HD DVD wouldn't of stood a chance. hopefully if it becomes the standard format it'll bring prices right down.

from what ive read hd dvd is the better format for joe public
blue ray is better for companies wanting drm features

FFS. Are they going to have the good grace to refund people who have bought HD DVD? I think not!. I couldn't care anyway I just hate Sony and there filthy ways .

these rumours have made it to the headlines today, apparently toshiba themselves have said they will stop HD-DVD player production very soon.

Screw sony I boycot them all I can anyway since I had minidisk player with there crappy DRM and trojan ridden filthy software .
I have neither yet either I download(legally of course) my HD films so no media required .
