Okay, I'm not that fussed about the Elite, but do fancy the bigger HDD, 120gb drive.

As some of you are aware I just chopped my PS3 in for a 360 Premium and a load of games, that was before I went on my jollies and the then price of an Elite was at the £329.99p, so I plumped for a Premium with a load of games and extras, for around £380ish, and thought I'd get a bigger HDD later when I needed it,,,,

During my holiday the Elite came down to £299.99p or £309.99p with Bioshock, one of the games I want at the moment.

I rang my local Game store where I bought the 360 and told them that I was very Disgruntled at the pricecut and how they didn't inform me of the upcoming Elite;) and its eventual pricecut before launch.

The store manager said that as my Premium was less than 3 weeks old I could trade my Premium in at £200, not the £140 as stated and pay the extra £90 odd for the Elite, and get Bioshock for £15 if I do the one game deal.

Is this a good deal or not?

or you could hold fire and forget the elite.
HDMI will be standard once M$ have cleared out the old stocks.
then the new falcon mobo equipped 360's are coming soon with the 65nm CPU.however still to follow that is the 65nm GPU.
these will run cooler and so should be much more stable
so its a waiting game as no confirmed dates will be released by M$ as internal componenets are nothing to do with consumers ;)

I know the new chipsets are coming, but I have only the time within the 28days of purchase for this offer by the store manager to stand. If I do it now, get an Elite and if the inevitable happens, ie 3 red lights, I can return it and get a new one off the shelf, hopefully with the better inards, if its still in its one year warranty.
