Hey guys

I have a grande punto tjet 1.4 2009.

I recently changed to lowered springs (more for the reason I could get four eibachs for the same price as one OEM).

I have the work but now the front clunks going over bumps or into pots holes . Rougher the road or harder I hit the speed bump the louder it is

Now I am 99% certain I put springs on correct into the strut groove as this is 2nd time of me taking of and having a look. I believe top nut is fully tight as I thought it was this so I did tighten very hard to be sure. But again same issues again. If I take wheels off and strut again it will be.my 3rd time. And I am getting a bit fed up with it now. Any ideas if what it could be

Impossible to guess without seeing it, Top nuts can be a bit finicky to tighten, really need to secure the struts inner ram to make sure the torque is really being applied to the nut. If you're certain all is ok, start looking at drop links first, could well be that either they are just knackered or the fact everything has been apart is highlighting the arb bushes are fubar.

Yeah tops were finicky but I gave them some welly that us for sure. I don't think is drop links as replaced them a couple years back and only got a couple thousand miles in them. But I I did swap them over and take them off for process of elimination. When you say top nut do u mean the nut that secures strut together OR the top nut that holds the sturt to to car (inside engine bay). Sorry not too sure what u mean by last sentence arb bushes fubar? Lol thanks.
