Polish?

I use Autogylm...for the sole reason that i got 3 free bottles at F&M 2 years ago! But I dont polish my car that often cause its silver, no real need to!

But I also use Meguiars ScratchX when I need to!

If i was to buy polish, it would defo be Megs i would buy!

Last time I used Supagaurd then went over it with a Maguiares finish

I have a tin of Muc-off I need to try, maybe in a few weeks :)

Ohhh..i need to use my bros supaguard before he gets back at the end of the month!

might give it a try on Monday depending on the wether and if I get everything done that i want done!

Tried halfrauds showroom polish (won best polish product test in practical classics), it sucks.

t-cut colourmagic is good but is a bitch to get off the black trim

I now have some expensive zymol stuff. Don't know if it is any good but i will find out soon.

The worst thing is Andrew that you almost sound shocked by that statement!

Re: Which polish

I usually use Autoglym products to maintain a finish having previously used their "PDi kit" (cheap - off eBay ;) ) but am currently trying out the lower priced products of the Zymol range, results are very very promising and it's a piece of **** to use (compared to some other products).

Meguairs stuff leaves me non-plussed.... I don't dislike it but I don't love it either. The clay stuff is good though

I use T-Cut Colour Magic +. Came with a useless chipstick thing, which is obviously meant to cover small scratches and chips. It doesn't and as far as I can see it's just a white crayon (not even silver like it's meant to be).

The polish though is great. Never had a problem with it, though is annoying when it gets on the black trim, though I've got Back to Black for after I've washed it off.

I've got a bottle of Turtlewax Polish as well, but I find the T-Cut, since it's for silver paint, makes it look better :)

well i use supaguard then meguiars 3 step waxing just coz i got some freebies from my old work lol

I have some Autoglym SRP and it seemed to work well on my last car but not used it yet on the 500.
I am currently using Autoglym High Definition wax (on the 500) and very impressed with the results.
Car is defo easier to keep clean and a nice shine too. :D

my dad swears by autoglym[been using in body shop for over 10 years+],but he says the new turtle wax[ICE] is great and dosnt mark windows/rubbers ect,and makes wheels+tyres look like new[£10 out of a1/halfords]

ps ,ice dos,nt leave that white chalk resendue ,and easy to put on take off.

[only in god i trust]

Don't use it but then I take my car to a jet wash - stick £3 in it and I wet, shampoo, wash off and then whatever wax is in the jet wash and whatever time I have left it gets put on the windscreen...

Polishing is something I just can't be bothered with...the results do look good but the effort required in my view doesn't make it worthwhile...I'm a lazy sod - I like my car to be clean but I can't be bothered if it requires effort...which is almost the opposite for my bike - not fussed if it is clarty but it has to work flawlessly!
