Well there's a surprise...

I replaced one of the brake lights a month or so ago and just over a week later I was getting a message that one of the side lights was out. Not a problem as it's summer and they're not used much however tonight was very overcast and therefore when I switched my lights on I got that irritating message and that constant amber triangle light on again. Had a look when I got home and sure enough one of the lights is out.

I know I'll probably be able to pick up a guide online when I can be arsed to go and look but in the meantime I'm being lazy and asking you lot - how easy is this going to be?

It only takes 2 seconds and no tools

Although if that's too late I can always drop by your house on my way home. The guides on FF are generally very good though so could probably manage on my own

No its ok, that works in maybe perfect, im supposed to be picking up a car from aberdeen and dropping it off in ellon anyway.

Didn't have time to pick up a side light bulb yesterday so this was put on hold. I did find the guide over on FF and it looks easy enough although lack of access due to bloody big engine may provide some sweary words and me wishing I only have a 1.2. I'm sure it'll be fine though :D

One thing I'm considering doing is replacing the headlight bulbs as I've never been happy with how bright they are. Any suggestions on what to go with? Not HID and definitely legal plsnthx

Been blinded by badly fitted aftermarket ones too often to be a fan Something a bit brighter than the factory fitted ones will do me so cheers for the recommendation :)

Cheers for the recommendations folks.

i had a light bulb moment this morning (yeah, that was intended :laugh :) when I remembered I have spare head lights for the car in the shed. They have replacement bulbs plus I get the opportunity to play around with removing the bulbs from a unit not fitted to the car first. Win win I reckon :D
