Hope someone can help, my 2001 Abarth Punto that I sold and bought back recently has airbag warning lights on that were not there at last MOT, a friend has suggested it might be sensor connections below the front seats, any info would be greatly accepted. Needs an MOT soon and want to try and fix the problem myself rather than get ripped of by a garage as there is other work needing done so probably on a large bill already.

Im not a fiat person, but if it were a vauxhall, this problem would be likely a plug been unplugged or disrupted while ignition was powered up,it might be as simple as clearing the codes, but to be sure of no fault with your system, get the codes read and the codes posted up here and we will be able to help a bit more.

could be a problem with any of the airbags. get it diagnosed for fault codes and it will tell you exactly which one. report back and we can tell you how to fix
