Aight,

Got two quick questions:

Firstly yesterday my drivers wiper stopped working, was worried as I know that the wipers are a common problem on the Punto, however when I popped the hood it appeared that the wiper had just came off the motor arm - pushed it back on and it appears to be working. Only problem is that the conenction between the wiper and wiper motor that i pushed back together doesnt appear to be as tight as that on the passengers side - just wondered if anybody has had this problem before or knows if my wiper is knackered?

my second problem is that the paint on my side skirts is wearing away behind the tyre (this is where all the snow. slush & grit gets thrown as im driving so decided to hid the mess with some mud flaps however I wanted to check if it would make a difference that I have side skirts on the car regarding fitting mudflaps, so again if anybody knows Id appreciate any feedback.

Cheers in advance guys

Mark

Mudflaps :- Shouldnt be a problem if they are genuine Fiat parts!

There is a Mk1 Sporting round the corner from me that has standard skirts and standard fiat mudflaps fitted front and rear. I also have a brand new set still boxed that i bought about 3 years ago and never fitted! lol

cheers dude, going to jump into my local friend Fiat dealership tomorrow after uni and see what the guys got to say for himself, usually really helpful (I know that sounds strange that a fiat dealership should be helpfull but i only ever use the parts dept and its one wee guy who seems to be in most days).

Cheers again bud

i have looked into getein mudguards on mine, as lynseys street is full of that quick drying tar and all that. I dont think you can get them to go over the abarth skirts on a mk2, but u get them for the rear, but are useless wee things.

I cant find any for the back of mine though.

On the subject of this, Lynseys sills were going rusty so it was simon to the rescue today, and a bloody good job i did as well

the wiper arm is a very common problem, happened to mines, my pals and a guy in my works punto.

Simply get a cirplus clip , pop the arm in put the clip on, this has held mines for over a year now as i loast the rubber thats supposed to hold the wiper in.

hard to explain

I appear to have fixed it by sqeezin it real tight the other night, was out in the torrential thunderstorms when it decided to break again, but it clipped back into place and seems ok since then
