i was driving home from work and a car pulled out right infront of me.

I had to brake quite hard, so the ABS kicked in as i felt the pumping through the brake pedal, however the ABS light on the dash stayed lit until i turned the car off.

When i started the car again, it was off. Is this normal?

Probarly just ur ABS sensor............ If you find it keeps coming after about 15 mins of driving, its definetly gubbed, ive replaced mines then it got ****ed again, when th elight come on thats the car switching it off so your on your own after that.

As i sais mine got smashed and ive got to wait like 10-15 mins b4 the brakes r fine, its around 80 quid for a new 1 chance are it'l be fine and it just came on coz of the hard braking

well it went off after i re- started the car and i was driving for about half an hour and it didnt light again.

Might have known it would probably be some king of sensor
