Damn it!!!!

My clutch went when I was just outside my house (silver lining eh)

Ok at least I think that's what it was this happened about 5months ago aswell I was just driving along normally and I pushed the clutch in and there was a loud sorta 'click' noise and the clutch pedal didn't come up again

I pulled over and put the car in gear and tried starting her up to drive home in first (didn't think it would work but worth a shot) and she stalled. tried starting in neutral and she wouldn't start up at all just makes a funny noise no revvin either

reckon it's just the cable that's snapped again or something else ? and how hard is a clutch cable to replace???

it is the clutch cable my old one did the exact same! less than an hours work if you have access to ramps but kinda awkward if you dont. the clutch cable is a common thing to fail on the cinqs as it is really weak at a certian point

Cool I gotta jack that do the job instead o ramps? reckons I could do it on my own considering I can't even hook up airhorns and on a scale of 1-10 have about 2 on car knowledge (maybe less)

Well stuck her in the garage the clutch cable had gone and the starter motor got her back 2hrs later thank fully still 230quid lighter after the tow + labour + parts

I gotta learn how to do some o this **** myself

sorry mate forgot to reply supposidly the clutch cable is awkward to do so probably wasnt worth attempting your self anyway, was wondering you needing a false floor for your cinq? its made out of mdf with carpet on it so you hardly notice its there, its also raised slightly so its easier to get into the spare wheel, gimme a shout it you want it also have some 45mm lowering springs, some sports rear shocks and a momo strut brace if your wanting some bargins! just let me know cos there going on ebay soon!
