I have a minor clutch problem, in the sense where I drop the clutch and it don't seem 2 disengage very much, with lots of brute strength I can change gear but I don't wanna hurt my baby, any ideas what this could be? The master cylinder and slave seem to be all in good order as the clutch fork does seem to move a fair whack. Garages scare me with big bills and contradicting opinions! HELP!

Sounds cheap which makes me :D it easy nough to do without a mechanic's expertise? Am not completly retarded when it comes to mechanics, but ave never performed anythin quite so serious before! Was just hopin it wouldn't involve an entire brand new clutch, am a poor starvin student ya kno!

What car is it
how does the clutch pedal feel when you press it does it get heavy the more you press it
are there any noises when you press it
and does it go into gear ok when the engine is not running

Does get heavy, not change from how it felt before as far as I can remember! No noises at all, however, I do recall some squeeling noises when I was driving it, but disappeared under gear change. Goes into gear fine when engine is not running.
