Well FMIC is technically fitted, although the slight issue of not ordering enough pipe and clamps (Only because the one I ordered for the turbo to boost pipe was too small). Bumper needs modification to fit properly again as well, along with the sump tray. Ho hum... All fun and games.

On a positive note, the carpet is now removed from the car, and looking at various roll cages. Don't know whether to see about the Biposto roll cage, or get the sparco or OMP one. Decisions, decisions...

Ok, IC is now fully fitted, pictures to come later, along with a guide (and also a full list of required items for the same as my installation). Bumper only need minor modifications, only because I never removed the lower mounting lugs otherwise its on and perfect. Sump tray got dumped, purely because it was broken beyond what I thought it was.

Next thing on the list?

3" cat back system with center exit (along with carbon rear valance to suit rear exit).

Hopefully, after than a TD04 + downpipe to suit and remapped. The Bilstein B14 PSS coilovers and a roll cage. Any more will be listed later

Pics will be posted tomorrow as its now too dark to take them

Would you not be better with the vl38 turbo? Or is there better gains from the td04?

@Ckem247 VL38 is worse than the one thats on it.

The VL38 is from the Grande T-Jet 120 (Game to 150),
the VL37 is the one I have (Game to 170),
the VL36 from the abarth Grande Punto (Game to about 180)

The TD04... Well...

13T compressor, game to about 230 @ 1Bar (Full boost at roughly 2.8K) (250ish with 1.3Bar)
15T compressor, game to about 270 @ 1.5 Bar (Forged internals required).
19T compressor causes stupid lag (Full boost at about 4K) and is worthless unless forged and highlifters, lightened valves, balanced crank, lightened + balanced flywheel. Alternative is TD05-16G when talking about this compressor.

GT2554R will be roughly the same as the TD04-19T/TD05-16G, but costs so much more. However, the lack of a BB cartridge with the MHI turbos makes the garrett that little bit more attractive.

So I totalled up everything I bought for my FMIC and it come to just over £252. Airtec want £450 an forge want a little more. With some time, I managed to fit my own FMIC for just under £200 cheaper than the airtec one, and its a larger intercooler that I fitted. I think thats a win for me anyway. Still no pictures yet as the car is dirty as hell.

Re: My Campovolo 500 :)

Had a little read through Scoop and read the part about the turbo's. Your car should have the IHI turbo, as does the Abarth Grande Punto which are only good for around 175-180 bhp.

The Garrett (1336?) was then added to the Esseesse grande, punto evo and the new 180 bhp Comp which are good for around 230bhp I believe. Just adding some info in for the turbos really but the TD04 you are going for is cheaper and can produce bigger gains than the latter, just don't boost it too much as you will get huge turbo lag. The equivalent Garret turbo compared to the TD04 would be the Garret 1446, would be easier to fit and less lag but it will cost a heck of a lot more I bet! Looking forward to seeing how your build goes!

Have my car being Dyno'd on friday to see what it is running standard then the TMC box will be going on, I have hit 1.5k miles so its time...
