Project flowerbeds

Im building raised flowerbeds for elderly relatives, and thought i may as well make a wee thread about it.. you never know.. someone may find it useful.

I started by 'investing' in a mahoosive chainsaw (more for the man points than an actual requirement) to save time with cutting the wood.

Then after arguing with the wife about going to such extremes, i drew up a rough design.



More updates to come when i buy wood etc.

Got tore in today and this is the result so far...



I still have one more of the smaller one to do, quite happy with the result and may build more for my own garden in the future.

Bloody hell, how much earth are they going to hold.

Perfect for not getting a sore back from gardening though. Nice job

Made the big one that size so the the wifes granda can still plant tatties, or any other veggie that needs deep soil, and so when he comes to dig, he isnt bending over.

Oh.. forgot to add... they took 2 and a half ton of soil to fill.
