Thought i would be as well start a thread for my day to day transport seeing the issues ive had and what im planning to do to it.

I bought the truck about 4 months ago and within a few days, i noticed an issue. Well... i say noticed, i couldnt really miss it as the truck was randomly throwing itself into limp mode, usually when i was pulling out of a junction, cruising down a road, overtaking, any time really, so back and forth to the dealer it started regularly going. The dealer kept saying it was a vacuum pipe but would never show or tell me exactly which one. Alarm bells started ringing that they didnt know what it was either. So eventually, thanks to a couple codes and some homework done by myself and a big handful of advice from the www.l200forum.com it turned out to be a sensor on the fuel pump.

Anyroads, i have just ordered a set of Cooper at/3 tyres to help with the white slippery stuff (should it ever come), and I have a reverse camera ready to go on to assist with reversing up to the trailer (fed up of the wife saying 'keep reversing, back, back back' THUD, 'STOP!')

So thats all for now, will update as required

They are just a small outfit andi, not like a mitsi dealer or anything. Their mechanic is only there for general servicing really.

Oops.. forgot about this, update required...

Got the limp mode issue sorted a month or so ago, suction sensor on the fuel pump was to blame. So all fixed, tuning box back on, manly tyres looking manly, and confidence kind of returning in it...

Jobs this month im home, fit reverse camera kit,
Fit parrot handsfree kit
New brake pads on front and check rear shoes.
Look for a reasonable CB setup as well, dunno why but i like the idea of having one.

But truckers only kill prostitutes dont they? Or are you speaking from experience? ;)

Brake pads changed today, slight wear imbalance on the drivers side, caliper sliders were seized, regreased them and all good again

Rear brake shoes swapped and fitted my parrot kit i got for xmas today, and noticed i have a snapped leaf spring :(

Got the leafs changed yesterday, im really bad at remembering to take pics.

5 hours to change the passenger side, an hour to do the drivers side.

The rear is now sitting a couple inches higher and the ride is solid...

Passed on the retest.. time ti get the tuning box back on,

Went all 80's now..

Just bought myself a CB

breaker breaker 1 9 do you copy?

Wheel spacers and roof rails fitted, looking all macho now

Just picked up a bullbar and spotlights, hopefully get it fitted this weekend :)

Previously bought a bulbar and spotlights for the truck.. will get them fitted when I'm home :D

I seem to remember telling the mrs something along the lines of "No dear, I'm not going to be modifying this one at all, I have enough to do with the polo to even bother thinking about beefing it up"

now I realise why she sighed and rolled her eyes... lol
