2600 less excess. Apparently thats them being generous.

Ive already stated im not happy with the offer and plan to back this up with proof of similarly priced pandas up here. Apparently they cant comment on geographical differences. But of course if it was the london marker...

To be honest mate, that's not a terrible offer. I do think you might get closer to 3000 if you hold out but the price of Pandas is now varying so much, they could easily have opened the offer at 2k

Its not terrible...I agree. But I simply put it in the context that there isnt any way to get a replacement on that budget.

Will see what tmorrow brings. Just generally feeling quite meh and want all this settled.

They will argue that given the (plentiful) supply of them appearing under 2.5k now (even of similar age and mileage), there is. You might need to travel for it, but the cars are out there if you were going like for like from that budget.

I'd keep pushing them, but the sad fact is they values are going down so fast due to it now being an old model, there isn't going to be much room to maneuver.

Yeh im fine. The worst was some bruising but thats all going.

Called underwriters today for an update as Ive sent two or three emails with prices from glass etc to back up my claim that their initial offer was crap. Rather than flatly rebuffing they now appear to be "looking into" their initial offer. Once reviewed someone will call me...apparently.

Top tip. Any time an insurance company tries to rail road you into taking an offer stand your ground and mention that you will refer to the insurance ombudsman. I have it on good authority that this technique works...hopefully I can confirm that asap.
