exaust is stainless powerflow mani back with no cat.... so wont pass emissions. also tip is just a tip bolted on its poo :p. looks good though so will get a quieter one made with near identical tip..

also needs work but looks the part... hate the lexus lights so they need to go but mechanics first. so need to get on that so i can get it mot'd

Top car Steve...I also think the zorst looks pretty dapper. Is it a 2ltr?

yeh its a 2.0 cloverleaf mk1...

its had the engine and box swapped out though for a 2.0 from a gtv. same engine but with a alloy top end and supposed better reaction to de-cat ect.

some more pictures for you all :) propperly loving the car atm. over the moon with it and glad i bought it...

till a few things to address...
it has a oil leak (small one) and the engine fan doesnt work. other than that everything been fixed and replaced. :)

water pump wasnt leaking after all was just dripping from it as its the lowest point on the block

Cracking photo's of a cracking car.

The radiator fan may be controlled by the ECU rather than a radiator switch...it was on the HGT, due to it having A/C and it would run at half speed through a resistor block when A/C was running. So it may be worth a look...especially since the engine swap.

p.s. Prefer horizontal front number plate...looks a bit Nissan Sunny GTR with the vertical plate.

agreed on the pictures, you always take a great shot

aw sunny gti-r defo on the want list, but still ridiculously priced insurance, £700 :(

700 isnt rediculous... this costs me 6something haha...

and i agree with the plate and it will be getting a new front and rear.

re: rad fan. im not sure. its a non air con model (sunroof) but does have a resister block and twin speed fan so who knows... worst comes to worse a switch will be better than nothing atm,

but remember steve rich is a little bit older than us so he is "not a yobbo in his fast car " :p

thanks for that, I did think of putting an age related comment myself lol not quite pipe and slippers yet

ok quick update on alf...

basically. its not been going well for it.. MOT passed on second attempt. first fail list.
front ball joints, ( two new arms... £40 not bad...)
rear fog wrong side, (italian lights - sides swapped all good)
abs light (near side sensor missing)
rear left handbrake insufficient (sticking runners)
both rear brakes not working good enough... (rear load sensor seized)
Emissions... drasticly failed all the test in all the fields... burning oil and water and lambda 4x above norm... HG issue related. but we got it through on 5th atempt thanks to a friendly MOT man.

now all fixed and dandy. passed with a few minors. front pads low, chip in windscreen and rear fog discolored (getting new light units anyways)

the car is overheating REGULARLY. and taking 4-5mins at max to do so and is showing mayo so we all know where thats going..... we have susspected water pump failure since i bought it as i remember it being in the ad on ebay but then being edited out and him denying it was ever there.... but as it worked i went on daily usnig the car. but now its overheating alot and only at higher speeds its obviously the pump and thus caused head failure...

its sat on my drive till next payday were it will get a strip down, all belts pumps gaskets ect swapped and then touching wood. and now ive sorted all the wiring. its all cosmetics (new rad and sensor aside) left.... new lambda and no HG failure will then hopefully show norm emissions too as there is nothing else that can really cause it.

so one more big leap then she should be a good one... and budgeting it all in ill have still spent less than 900 on it... which if you look at any other 145qv clovers id agree is a bargain as she now sits with 12month MOT :)

woo. all parts bought and on their way. and scheduled in for the work (im not doing it in this weather)...... so just time till its mint XD
