Ok at the moment me panda is a standard 750. I cant decide if I should take my 1242 engine along with ECU wireing loom injection and all the other bits and slot that in or. Just use the 1242 block and slap the 750 cylinder head on it and then fit a larger car. also plan to use the cinq gear box as the panda one is a bit worn likes to jump out of 5th and crunches in and out of 3rd.
 
Thought it went pretty well for a 750 when I saw it last weekend...tyre squeal round the corners and everything :laugh:

Guessing leaving the 750 head on negates you having to carry the loom across from the way you're describing it (still not 100% with mechanical stuff on motors), which would negate a major headache I'm guessing. Either way though, more speed in something so light's bound to be a laugh :D
 
the 750 head a carb??? can you not fit that on the 1242 head... as for the dizzy if there is one then that can easily be placed on any FIRE engine, so can also fit on the 1242cc engine :) will also give better flow up top.

but i know notihng about these engines :p................ honest lol..


but im more than certain it can all be swapped over. and failing that, swap the engine loom. add a ecu and adapt the d4 plug. there are many many guides online to fit them...... but if your donig that i employ you to 16v it
 
Ye I think I will go with the 750 head on the 1242 block. As it will be a lot more straight forward than haveing to set up the wireing loom. Setting up the carb is not any bother set them up in the past

There is a fuel pump but its mechanical and bolted to the cylinder head runs of a cam lob
 
The engine and gear box are out of the Cinq so it's now a case of finding out if the cinq gear box will fit the panda 750 block i have heard mermarigs that the bell housings and alighnment of bolt holes are a bit diffrent .
 
My cinq was running a 1242 but I suppose I could slap it in to the panda fit an electric fuel pump with a fpr valve and use the panda inlet manifold to keep the carb. Hmmm so many options
