Gave her a cheeky offer - not even having seen the car; but through my research into it (DID IT THIS TIME) and large picture data. Only problem is getting to it + back - as I'm under 21, insuring it for a single day is out of the question and my deposit due from my old insurance isnt back to me yet obviously... wonder if they'd let me off if I told em to keep the deposit for this one? LOL. Doubt it... anyone got any ideas?! It's in renfrewshire - about 30 miles away from me. Think it's abit stupid of me trying to blow my entire budget for the car ON the car; whereas if I kept 400 quid of it I'd be able to actually drive it home.

Went up to see the new car. Had a dent on the side as they said - 2 scratches but I used a trick Brad taught me and they're not deep. Car runs good, not as much power as my sporting but i expected such as it's 8v - my dad will be driving it back tomorrow and I'll have to SORN it for a few weeks until I get the deposit for insurance back - but it will give me a chance to get my LEDs back in the footwells - clean it up and make it my own. Will finally be able to use my autoglym wax I bought at SICD! I'll keep you all posted.

here are some pics I've found off my phone - might aswell put them here as I will be starting a new thread soon.

I know right, im a bloody wheeler dealer. ;) its got s few things needing done - the bonnet release catch inside is broken and needs fixed - it still opens but is just dodgy to do: however i seen a guide on how to fix it on FF. No rust, no damp, all seals are in surprisingly good nick for a mk2 which eat seals like no tomorrow, brand new racing tyres, no cracks, bubbles or anything bad. Few scratches need seen to but theyre not deep so those magic pens might work. Only real problem is the dent but it will be under 100 quid to sort, and if i get that done they might throw in doing the scratches if i ask nicely :) All in all im very chuffed!

looks good mate, just remeber to organise a fix it meet if you doing any major work, we will fire down with our tools....you gotta provide the tea

Send me a pic of where the dent is... I can probs pull the dent back out.
I had a large dent on the passenger door of the Sei, put the dent puller/ glass carrying handle on it & pulled the dent out.

That's not a bad idea... not that far from most of us

you getting it back using the hpi? :)

Yep. Good shout there mate, much appreciated :D

And I wouldn't mind a lil fix it meet; I'm not the best at engine work etc - but I'm good with cosmetics / holding tools?... haha. I make a cracking cuppa! We will need to organize one soonish; but the car will be off the road until I get my deposit back off previous insurance, which I'm gonna spend that time cleaning everything up, might respray calipers blue instead of red as they're pretty faded - dont think they used high temp paint. Getting the car here tonight!

@Andi_F - i'll upload a pic of the dent tonight, it's as if it's been attempted to be pulled out, but only a section of it has been. I'm not too bothered because for the price I got it for I really can't complain. End of the plate is UWW - was thinking about calling it uwwie... but any name suggestions that are witty are appreciated. Thanks for all the help lads.

Got the car. Super chuffed. Ill get pics up soon but its getting dark. Some niggling problems, a rattling noise from either the backseats, or the tailgate haha. The passenger door clicks when opening, but so did the same door on my other one. Only thing annoying me is I cant for the life of me get this bonnet open, the boy did it yesterday using the key to pull down the cable but ive tried and tried and dont wana snap it. Will get pics up of it. Exhaust is a custom made stainless steel straight through - didnt notice until i read the sticker below it. The car feels completely new compared to my old one - the seats are immaculate and everything feels alot more sturdy. Used a scratch removing pen on the side and its gone. Other one on the other side ( its been keyed, good old glasgow ) is a lil deeper but the pen nib fell out and i lost it :( overall i am over the moon.

The pens work if the scratches arnt deep - it just mirrors the original colour somehow... You can only see the line of the pen if you look milimeters away from it. I'll get the pliars at it today, going to get a new air filter/induction kit - as the box is too small for my liking... If I can sort something out before hopeton (when is it?...where is it?...) I'll give you's a shout.

Have my last exam today; so I'll be getting moved to a fulltime job - which means the new punto will be treated like a queen. PICS UP TONIGHT!

Right Ryan.
Hopetoun House is at Queensferry, I told you that last sunday as we passed it on our way into McDonalds South Queensferry, it's about 5-10mins drive from McDonalds.
Sunday 12th August.
I could get hold of a bonnet catch from Shewlaton Car Spares for a few £, also I must get a price for someit else....
I get the bist cheaper than most folk as I know the guys at Shewalton very well, they know me too well.

12th of august :O 2 days before my birthday. I'll try get there since it's not really that far away. I'll be insured on my new car by then. I'll discuss the bonnet catch soon - as I tried to pull the cable with 2 sets of pliars - one at each end and all I got was a gash in my finger :p

In other news - Making my new thread so post on that ;)
