Here are some pics of the Fiat 1100R,bear in mind this car has been layed up for 20+ years.
As to be expected there is a lot of work ahead of me.
i have been restoring cars and bikes for over 30 years ,and i'm still crap at it,but maybe i will get it right this time.
You will of course see from the pics the amount of rust to deal with first.i will then fabricate floor pans and sills, once i have the main structure solid i will then remove the front subframe, suspension, sand blast and spray,it seems to be solid enough.
as for the interior it is absolutely mint, apart from the floor mats.
The roof has a few dents in it ,due to the amount of snow we had last year the shed the car was housed in collapsed under the weight,as i am hopeless at roof repairs i will have the help of a very competent panel beater, but that can be left to last.
the clock reads 42000 miles which i feel is an honest reading.
So here's the pics at start.
Day 1

I will take some pics of the drivers side when i get to it.
i am hoping to have this on the road by the summer,i normally don't drift from my other projects which are Porsche 924 /944 , i have 5 of them,[ and before any one comments, yes i know its a disease,] but i am so used to doing them it has become simple, plus there is less chance of mixing bits up.
so thats it for now lads.

Geezo!..you've got a lot of work there. Do you have replacement panels, and brightwork? I started a similar project with a 131s but abandoned it after a week, and looked for a better shell.

What age is the Fiat, is it the predecessor of the 128?

no panels,i will make them as i need ,thats the easy bit,i worked with a fabricator in my spare time for years, and i can tell you it's all down to common sense, the bit i hate is sanding and filling.
i restored a datsun 1200 coupe a few years back ,had to make floors and sills etc,it turned out very well.
here's a pic of it
