RGZ the Stilo

Well, removed original gear knob via hacksaw and prying with screw driver and went to put Ripspeed one on. Doesn't fit over the lift up reverse colour - universal fitment fail I think.

So, looking to Momo or Richbrook for a replacement...so much for a cost nothing job, nothing's ever easy on my RGZ lol

As it's been at least a week since we've had a knob thread I suppose this was inevitable. Keep it up ;)

I intend to ;)

Indeed, though not too firmly - I don't want to do any damage to it

It didn't happen to be heading for a tunnel with another 20 or so similar trucks was it? ;)

I know the handling on the Stilo's not perfect, but it's not quite dumper truck-esque. Well, not at the moment anyway

haha it was cruising the streets of perth :p and saying that the handling on the stilo was still pretty decent, the GP with coilovers wasnt for going around corners any faster than urs Rob

Yeah, it's certainly better than it was before the Eibach bits getting put on. I think as well due to the wide track on the Stilo, it'll always be pretty stable in the corners, at least that's what I've felt compared to some other cars I've driven - I can really throw it into some corners and know it'll stick.

Think it could really benefit from coilovers (got my eye on an AP set on eBay), more bracing and better bushing though. I think there are some parts that are interchangeable with the 147 as well, which in some ways has a better set up, but I know a chap ran into issues when he was trying to transfer an anti-roll bar over to his Abarth. Steering holds it back a bit too as though there is feel there and there's not many turns lock to lock, it still feels rather sluggish and not as direct as I'd like. Still, I've driven many, MANY worse cars. Mazda 626 instantly springs to mind
