No probs :)

Easiest way of checking the vac pipes ive found is to pull one off and blow down it, if you hear a hiss, you have found the leak :)

I do apologise if this is the usual technique though. Not trying to tell yous how to suck eggs ;)

We may have a problem....

This is the cat from ECP that Mark says is correct

And this is what is in my shed

:(
Mrcento am I being premature in assuming this won't fit?

What does it have part numbers wise on it?

i'm fairly sure that's the wrong one though, sei one has 1 flange and a bend because the front bolts onto the manifold/downpipe and the back comes out and bends around where the bottom of the gearleaver assembly in the floor is and slides into the mid section to be clamped.

It's definitely the wrong part and it's the supplier who's made the error not Reids. The cat comes from www.eu:ROFLMAO:o.co.uk and when I checked their website they've handily got a picture of what the exhaust system of the seicento sporting should look like

[attachment=1:3kyjs3gl]eu:ROFLMAO:o.jpg[/attachment:3kyjs3gl]

We've essentially been sent the wrong cat with the right part number for a sei sporting on it so I'll be doing a wee trip to Reids tomorrow to arrange for the correct one to be sent to us.

Just spoken to my neighbour about this and he's says Reid's are pretty good about fixing errors. I'm about to email Eddie at Reid's sending him the pictures I've posted here and even better my neighbour has offered to take the cat in for us and collect the correct one. I'll supply him with a picture of what it should look like too so hopefully there'll be no more errors.

21st is a go unless the weather is atrocious as unfortunately we don't have a nice cosy shed anymore (ok, we never had a "cosy" shed but it was better than nothing lol). I was working outside for most of yesterday helping replace some of the cladding on the house and was pretty damn cold by the end of the day so if it's going to be sub-zero or wet then we'll probably postpone. But if it's a go then a trip to costco would be most helpful thanks

Do we still have the cat I brought down last time it came off a 1108cc Cinq and was in good working order when removed from my old car. So it could be used if the New one does not fit.

No idea if we've still got it although it could be in the box of parts in the shed - I've not bothered to look properly since they got put in there just before Christmas.

Cat's not a problem though as Reid's have ordered the correct replacement for us and the wrong one is with my neighbour ready to swap over. I should have it either this weekend or early next week

Some pictures for you

Eeuuuww!

And a close up of the mouldy knob

It's actually not as bad as it looks and will clean up however it's dreich in Ellon today so I think I'll leave it until we get drier weather.

I also have a battery charger in my possession and so we should be good to go next Saturday

Despite the weather proving to be completely unpredictable I managed to spend some time today removing the mould from inside Yellow. It's not perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than previously. We also got the charger attached to the battery however it rained after a few hours so that idea had to be abandoned. The battery will either go into my work to be charged properly or neighbour has offered to do it for us at his work. Either way it'll be left until we have a better idea of when the next fix-it meet will be.

In the mean time have a picture of Yellow adding to my electric bill  The lead going in to the sunroof is for a heater drying off the interior in the hope to prevent the mould from growing again. Oh and if you look closely you can see why we need a new front number plate

As long as I have notice I can be free most weekends with the exception of Brooklands and Cupar - although the Saturday before Cupar may also be an option

If not sorted by the time i get home, (hopefully away this week) i will get it mot ready next time home. I know i have said this before but im now in a position where the polo is ready and my trailer is thereabouts, leaving me more time to help out more.

Should only take a day or so to have it ready.

This time, book it into the cooncil depot at inverurie for the mot. Impartial as they dont do repairs and only £40
