I wouldn't go for the coupe for a couple reasons. First they are too lardy. If you aren't getting a turbo the Marea and Bravo are both quicker. Plus the insurance groups on them are stupid. Isn't the 20v coupe like 4 groups higher than a Bravo HGT yet it's a slower car.

Ofcourse if it's a turbo your thinking, them yeah it will be the fastest Fiat you can go for.
I still think the best option is a 16V Tipo. quickish, handle fantastically, still cheap and very useable. i.e fill it full of crap drive to Germany batter out a few laps and drive home with it still full of crap.
 
why does the car have to come back? ;)

why not just get a pile, drive it there (freindly nudges at traffic lights as well lol) then scrap it in germany and hitch a lift back
 
Well strange u say that stuarty coz even though I would like to get it back was thinking of a contingency plan in case it gets binned/breaks down! If we get enough numbers for this then at least there's a couple of other cars to jump into! ;)

yeah venters been looking at a few bravos too but not sure I want to pay over the odds for a HGT! Thinking now diesel is the way to go!

I would love to do the trip in a tipo/UNO but they're like gold dust! I'll see what's available closer to the time, but reckon diesel bravo/marea is the way to go now, coz as you've said coupes are quite expensive for what they are!

i believe that sei is known as "the slut"

its had at least 8 owners the past 2 years. the guy that has it now has sorted in mechanicaly but it still looks bloody hideous tbh

for that money id buy a cinq and fit a 1.4 from a stilo.....or attack my next cento project after project cinq ;)
 
I'm ambitious but not that ambitious! lol

As I put on my first post ming, I want to put a car around the ring that I don't need to worry about getting wrecked dude! If my car was 8-10 years old I wouldn't mind so much! so I've got my mind set on an older car I can tinker with!(y)

And you shouldn't underestimate a Diesel! ;)

Yeah, doesn't look the best. Must be fairly nippy though :D

Also saw the VX engined Sei on PH as well, though it's a bit more expensive. Looks like it'd be fun though :D

120mph in 4th???!!! kin ell, my vectra only does 110 in 3rd ;)

seriously tho, that would be RAPID!!!!

unbeatable combination of big engine, little car
