STs have a 150hp 2.0 engine as standard (think it is actually 1999cc). Have heard some of these Zetecs with a decent exhaust and induction and they sound rather interesting to put it mildly

It's a 2litre 16v or 1998cc if u wanna be anal lol

They aint Zetec Powerplants either as all Zetec Engines are belt driven, this is a proper Duratec engine and is Chain driven

They produce 150ps which is 148bhp. This one however produces a rolling road proven 188bhp with 214nm Torque achieved by

Manifold
Cams
Sports Cat Flexi and full sports exhaust
K&N in custom Mountune Air box

And todays update brings me a Yellow ST badge for the front grille and a panther black (obviously) Boot Lock Cover

Just showing I'm no Ford expert, but I was only 1cc out

Still though, great car. Guessing chain rather than belt's far better for tuning purposes and the like and taking the stresses of being at higher revs for longer...EP3 CTRs spring to mind as another example.

hmm according to the evo site is 1999cc

"The Fiesta ST is powered by the new 1999cc Zetec in-line four currently found in both the Mondeo and new Focus in slightly lower tune."
