But a mk3 Cavalier saloon.

It was mine many moons ago and a total minter, but in a moment of madness i sold it to my sister for next to nothing.:furious:

Anyway, during her ownership it was totally ****ed, seized the engine due to her lad running it without coolant. It had a leak and instead of getting it fixed, just ran it, cut out, waited till it cooled, started it again till it cut out.

Anyhoo, its now been sat for about 2 years and pretty soon its coming home, my baby is coming home!

It HAD.....
17's, lowered 60mm, GSI bumpers, morrette quad headlight conversion, tinted windows, FSE power boost valve, drilled and grooved disks with greenstuff pads all round. Sounds chavvy but it was Very nicley done.

NOW it has....
odd 17's, lowered 60mm, no lights or grille, pretty much nothing left of any value, just sentimental!!

PLANS!!!:smoking:

Engine - Heres where the probs begin... I would like reliability, power and awesome sound, BUT being a Vauxhall it can only be one of the above LOL.

Im thinking sticking with the 2.0 8v engine thats in it (new one tho obviously) for ultra reliability! and it'll be easiest for engine swap.

Want a c20let mmmmm turbo power:evil3:, but engines are ultra expensive now and a shedload of work to get it fitted, new wiring loom etc...

BUT I know the v6 like th back of my hand, so might go 2.5 or 3.0 v6.

THEN theres the gearbox....6speed anyone?
:whip:

Styling - gonna keep this looking like a sleeper
Might see if i can stretch to morrettes again and get the windows re-tinted.

Thoughts??

Yeah, the gsi is simply an awesome machine!! THE best Vx imo!!

yeah, hopefully someone will take the cally and scort off my hands and then i will get the cav back!!

Used to hanker after a Cav GSi 2000 when they were brand new. I always thought the bodykit was rather nicely done and gave it the BTCC look of the time ala John Cleland :D

...in fact, almost got a VX as my first car...a 1.3 Nova SR. Nice wee red one, E or an F plate if memory serves. However, it was my Dad buying for himself with view of giving me it at some point and he thought it impractical. Ended up with a 1.6 non-injection Orion, which I crashed a few months later

its coming home in the next couple of weeks!!!!!

just going for the 2.0 8 valver, and get it looking mint for now, theres a credit crunch ya know!!! LOL

then once work picks up again, might look at investing in a bigger engine

the 2.0 8v's an under-rated engine ;)

115bhp standard, good torque, it's mega reliable, takes huge mileage easy, and doesnt have a zillon and 3 sensors to go wrong like later vx engines fitted to callys and vecs, ala 2.0 ecotec!

Its home :D

Felt ill today so couldnt go into work:thinking: ;)

so hired a trailer and went to Forres and picked her up.
pics ina mo :D
