Totally different im led to believe, but thats a thought, all I want it for is the handbrake spring to hook Into

I'd just swap over then to a different and more readily available setup of suitable size. even if they are totally different, wheel stud etc is the same so surely it should be close to bolt for bolt if you swap over to vec rear hubs etc?

You've got bigger stoppers up front so you can afford to raise braking power on the back too.... perfect excuse for an upgrade when it's cheaper than the standard solution ;)

I think the hubs are different where they bolt onto the rear beam, vecs run irs where the cav is a beam, except the 4x4 cavs

Project cav for sale!! Any genuine enquiries pleas pm me.

Genuine reason for the sale, really dont want to get rid without seeing it though, but ive bought the polo, it is actually paining me to be getting rid as this is the second time ive owned this car and ibe owned it for over a decade all together..

Continue with the Cav.

Remember when it's built, it's "yours", your work makes it what it is. You'll get more long term satisfaction.

You'll probably get an instant buzz with the polo then end up missing the cav and wishing you'd kept that when that buzz wears off, plus you can't really regret or miss something you don't already have ;)

I stand by this.

Trust me, I learnt the hard way. Chopped in a few cars for "something bigger and better" only to later wish i'd just done the work and made the original car the one i wanted. It's the one reason i didn't bin the cinq even when sense said i should have. Been there too often to know that it'll always be a regret.

Im putting it my grans garage at the meantime as it dosnt need any work done to it so shes happy with that, and because I didnt want to load the shed with more cars lol

And the cav isnt broken.. its just not finished lol

Poor cavalier is looking really sorry for itself. .. alloys are now on my van, rear suspension removed, front suspension and driveshafts removed, engine mounts dropped

*sniff*

Today sees the seats and tank coming out, car getting lifted off engine onto the trailer and engine stripped.. then tomorrow itll be off to the scrappy

Yeah I know thanks, but I know myself that nobody would take it on, best to just get the pain over and done with lol, worth a lot more in parts as well so that means I can pay for the polo a bit sooner haha

Aye theres a big difference in it eh.. she looks ready for the scrappy now tbh just the engine to unbolt and split the gearbox off

Theres a big gap where the cav and trailer used to be...

RIP buddy... It was great working on you.. hopefully someone at overton will take you on... they liked you enough. .
